Patient Portal
We encourage you to register for our Patient Portal, your secure, central hub for all things Smile Psychiatry. Through the portal, you can easily view your health records, securely message your care team, and upload important documents like your insurance card or photo ID.
To get started, simply open the “Welcome” email sent by our team when you booked your appointment. Once you’re in, we recommend bookmarking the login page on your browser so you can access your care plan whenever you need it.
Know Your Terms
Billing Quick Facts
Understanding these key terms can help you make sense of your medical bills and insurance statements.
Copay
A fixed, flat fee that you pay for a covered healthcare service, due at the time of your appointment.
Deductible
The set amount you must pay out of pocket for covered healthcare services each year before your insurance plan begins to share the costs.
Coinsurance
Your share of the costs for a covered service, calculated as a percentage of the allowed amount. This applies after you have met your annual deductible.
Out-of-Pocket Maximum
The most you will have to pay for covered services in a plan year. Once this limit is reached, your insurance plan covers 100% of the costs for in network services for the remainder of the year.

Look for the “Member Services” or “Mental Health Benefits” phone number on the back of your insurance card.
Ask the Right Questions
Ask your insurer, “What is my copay for a psychiatric office visit?” and “Have I met my annual deductible?”

We encourage you to contact your insurance plan administrator directly to confirm your specific benefits; their contact information is located on the back of your insurance card.
Your Responsibility
Please keep in mind that you are responsible for any costs not covered by your insurance plan, including out of pocket expenses and fees for missed or late canceled appointments. If you have questions about a statement or a specific charge, our billing team is here to help.

If you have questions regarding digital check-in, forms, or your appointment, please contact the office directly.
If you need to cancel your appointment due to an emergency, please contact the office directly. Please note that you may accrue a charge, and billing cannot cancel your appointment.
No Show Policy
We reserve your provider’s time specifically for you. Failing to attend your appointment without providing at least 48 business hours’ notice prevents other patients from receiving the care they need and may result in a no show or late cancellation fee.
