Brian Berrett, M.D., M.P.H.
Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist
Hello, my name is Brian Berrett. I am a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist who has a broad range of interests and expertise in treating depression, anxiety, eating disorders, ADHD, autism, trauma, and other mental health conditions. If we work together, I will enjoy finding solutions to help you live your best life — a life built on striving towards your values, or the things you hold most dear in life. I take great joy when such achievements are more prevalent or poignant in your life due to the improved capacity you have gained.
I received my bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University with a dual major in Public Health and Nutritional Science. I received my Medical Doctorate degree and Master’s of Public Health from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (McGovern Medical School). My Adult Psychiatry Residency and my Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship were obtained from the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine.
I have worked in a variety of settings across Nevada, California, and Utah including outpatient, inpatient, residential, and consultation. In 2015, I received the Hitoshi Nikaidoh, M.D. Scholarship for Humanism in Medicine, which included a scholarship recognizing a medical student who is especially compassionate and dedicated to patient care. During residency, I received the Grant Miller Award in 2018 and 2019, given to a Psychiatrist who strives to embody extraordinary compassion and a therapeutic presence that brings art, creativity, and kindness to every encounter.
I enjoy staying active and being outdoors mountain biking, road biking, camping, and backpacking.
I appreciate the trust I receive from my patients and prize seeing them conquer their mental and behavioral health challenges.
